What is Trezor Bridge® and why you need it
Trezor Bridge® is an official background application (for Windows, macOS, Linux) that enables secure USB or Bluetooth communications between your browser and your Trezor hardware. When you use Trezor Suite or visit Trezor-related web apps, Bridge ensures your device is discoverable and that login prompts appear reliably.
How to perform a safe Trezor Bridge® Download
- Always download from the official start page: trezor.io/start.
- Choose your OS and run the installer; accept required permissions and start the Bridge service.
- Open suite.trezor.io and connect your device. Enter your PIN on the device when prompted to complete Trezor Bridge® Login.
Common problems & fixes (Trezor Bridge® Login not working)
- Device not detected: Restart Bridge, reconnect the USB cable, try an alternate port or cable.
- Login fails / "Unable to login Trezor Bridge®": Restart browser, clear cache, or use the desktop Suite instead of the web UI.
- Error connecting account: Check that Bridge is running (system tray / background) and reinstall Bridge from the official page.
- App not working or error decline: Update device firmware via Suite and ensure browser extensions (ad-blockers) aren’t blocking local connections.
Account recovery, 2FA & verification notes
If you need to restore access, use your recovery seed with Trezor Suite’s Recover wallet flow — Bridge simply facilitates the connection; it doesn’t store secrets. For exchange 2FA resets (Trezor Bridge® 2fa reset), contact the exchange — Bridge does not manage third-party 2FA. Always verify transaction details on your device screen before approving. ✅
